I have to say that I predicted this a long time ago (along with the Katniss Barbie). Who remembers the swarm of young children names Bella? (Note: Please do not name your child Katniss) Rue is really cute though!

Would you name your daughter Rue?

According to SeattlePI:
With the entire country caught up in "Hunger Games" mania, it's no surprise parents are starting to name their babies after characters in Suzanne Collins' wildly popular book, which was recently made into a film that has been dominating movie theaters for weeks.
The popular baby names website Nameberry came out with a list of up-and-coming baby names for 2012 and revealed that "The Hunger Games" is taking over from "Twilight" as the primary cultural influence on names.
The site's research team did an analysis of nearly 3 million views of Nameberry's individual name pages in the first quarter of 2012 and compared the numbers with data from the same time last year and found that both Katniss and especially Rue are gaining in popularity.
They also discovered more of this year's hottest baby name choices: Take a look at the slide show below. No doubt, today's parents are influenced by Hollywood, music, and Broadway.
What do you think of this year's hottest baby names? Adele and Estelle are quite pretty, Cato is cool, but Ivy? It makes me feel itchy. And Katniss? Does it sounds strange outside the country of Panem?
