Hunger Games has put 62 Million dollars into the North Carolina economy.
ABC13 Reports:
"The North Carolina Film Commission says preliminary figures show that the filming of “The Hunger Games” pumped 62 million dollars into the local economy. The movie was filmed around Asheville, Shelby, Hildebran and Charlotte. Ticket pre-sales have already broken box office records surpassing the Harry Potter and Twilight films. Local businesses say the making of the movie generated a lot of business for them while crews were here. They expect the revenue stream to continue as people flock to see where “The Hunger Games” was made."
