District 14 is a segment where we talk about things belong the realm of the Hunger Games.

Now that you are done with the Hunger Games what do you read? The answer comes in Sarah J. Mass's 'Throne of Glass'

Summary: 18 year old Celaena Sardothien has spent the last year slaving away in the salt mines as punishment for being the world's most feared assassin. Her imprisonment ends when the Crown Prince Dorian drags her out of the mines.

Crown Prince Dorian has personally chosen Celaena to compete to become the King's personal assassin. In this competition a group of nobles each choose a "champion" to compete in a series of tests. The last contestant standing win!

Opinion: I knew from the first page of this book that I would enjoy it. There is something about Celaena that draws you in. The character is such a perfect blend of a beautiful normal girl and a kick ass assassin. The light romance in the book is perfectly plotted with the turmoil and mystery of the situation.

There is definitely some hinting at a love triangle going on although it is never completely defined.

(Team Dorian!)

In terms of complaints... I was left in a bit of a fog for some parts of the book and I did wish we could have made more emphasis on some Dorian scenes.

Stars: 4/5

5 Stars: We should remake this website about this book. 4 Stars: The odds were in this book's favor. 3 Stars: Good enough. 2 Stars: Bloodbath. 1 Star: This book should never be read, ever!

Josh Hutcherson spoke with IGN about Peeta's character arc!
IGN: Now that the film has come out, how would you describe the reaction from the fans after seeing it?
Hutcherson: It's been incredible. I'm still blown away by it. I think that when we started to make the movie we had an idea that there were a lot of fans of the books and whatnot, but I don't think that anybody really expected it to be this well received. So for me it's just a dream come true to make something that you love, that you're really proud of, that people also really loved.
IGN: Do you feel vindicated now that the fans approve of you as Peeta?
Hutcherson: It does feel good. Especially when you have so many people who have so many different opinions of what the character should be like. It's good to know that all in all, they're pretty satisfied with it. It's definitely a little nerve wracking when you're making it because you're like, "Wow, a lot of people like this character so I hope I'm doing it the right way." So I'm very happy and the response has been really great.
IGN: Now that the movie is coming out on DVD and Blu-ray, do you feel that anticipation ramping up all over again?
Hutcherson: I'd say so, yeah. It's very similar to when the movie opened, because there are a lot of people who maybe didn't get a chance to see it in the theater and now they're going to see it for the first time. So I hope we get it right by them as well. So there's definitely some of that same nervousness I'd say, of just hoping that people respond well to it, even though it came out and people mostly did respond well to it. But yeah, there's definitely a bit of that, "Oh, god. I hope people like it" again.
IGN: Do you think the movie holds up on DVD?
Hutcherson: Definitely. I love watching movies on DVD. I love the moviegoing experience because of the popcorn and the big screen and the sound and everything with the audience is awesome. But there's also something nice about being able to sit and enjoy a movie in the privacy of your own home. It's really nice and calm. I feel like when I see it in the theater I'm there for the experience, and when I see it at home I'm there for the actual movie, seeing the movie itself.

According to NYTimes:
Katniss Everdeen has triumphed over the boy wizard, Amazon announced on Friday, as the company’s sales of the “Hunger Games” trilogy have overtaken those of the Harry Potter series.
Sara Nelson, the editorial director of books and Kindle at Amazon, said in a statement that since the debut of “The Hunger Games” in 2008, the series has “taken the world by storm, much as Harry Potter did a decade before.”
“Interestingly, this series is only three books versus Harry Potter’s seven, and to achieve this result in just four years is a great testament to both the popularity of the work and, we think, the growth in reading digitally during that time,” she said.
The sales include print and e-book formats, making the “Hunger Games” trilogy Amazon’s best-selling series.
Sarah Gelman, a spokeswoman for Amazon, declined to produce specific sales figures. Kyle Good, a spokeswoman for Scholastic, the publisher of both series, said that Scholastic has 150 million copies of the Harry Potter series and more than 50 million copies of the “Hunger Games” series in print in the United States.
The “Hunger Games” trilogy by Suzanne Collins, the story of a postapocalyptic world in which children are sent to fight each other to the death, has been a huge seller in e-book format and has crossed over from a teenage audience to reach millions of adults. The Harry Potter series was unavailable for sale in e-book until March.
Amazon said last week that E.L. James, the author of the “Fifty Shades” erotic trilogy, is the best-selling author in history at the British Amazon.co.uk, passing J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series.

A fourteen karat gold mockingjay pin will be sold at Target for $999 reports NYDailyNews.

For superfans of "The Hunger Games," it may be hard to put a price on the kind escapist fantasy that the series provides, but megaseller Target is making a valiant attempt to do just that.
For a whopping $349 apiece, 100 lucky fans can own a replica of Katniss Everdeen's leather hunting jacket, and for $699, "Hunger Games" enthusiasts can even take home a lithograph autographed by 10 of the flick's cast members.
But it's a 14-carat gold replica of Katniss' iconic Mockingjay pin that will tip the scales when it's released in limited edition on Target.com at a mind-boggling $999.

In an interview with USA Today Josh spoke about getting into shape for Catching Fire.
“I’m getting in even better shape this time around,” Hutcherson tells USA TODAY about the film, which begins production next month… “After the games, Peeta would have been taking care of himself physically. And he’s gone back to the village and is able to eat healthy,” says Hutcherson. “So I’ve been training and getting ready for that.”
Though don’t expect to see a bodybuilder when Catching Fire hits screens on Nov. 22, 2013. “I’m keeping it in the realm of the first one,” says Hutcherson.
