Source: Hunger Games DWTC Via. WSJThe Wall Street Journal: What kind of response have you gotten since “Hunger Games” came out? Do you have lots of new young fans?
Stanley Tucci: Without question…. It’s a newer demographic only because the kids who are seeing it now, a lot of them hadn’t seen “The Devil Wears Prada” because they were too young. It’s a similar age but different people. I never anticipate it would be like that. It was my fiancee who said, “you should do this.” I said, “Really?” She said, “Stanley, these books are so successful and they are really good.”
What do “Hunger Games” fans say to you?
My kids play soccer, and you see that the kids on the other team are sort of like, “What’s that guy doing here? Why is he here?” I think they think that you don’t do all the normal stuff. It’s really great. I’m very proud to be in the movie. It was a great experience. It was really one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
Why?
I liked the story a lot. I liked what it has to say for socio-political reasons. I like the fact that the lead character is this incredible, strong young woman. I love Gary Ross.
What are your thoughts on the “Hunger Games” getting a new director, Francis Lawrence?
I’m sad that Gary is not doing it. But I hear this fella is really great. Hopefully Gary wil come back and do another one. I [start shooting] the next Hunger Games in October some time.

Source: E! Via. HungerGamesDWTC“Let me tell you what’s fun—to have the job before the director!” Banks told me at the Maui Film Festival, where she was honored with this year’s Navigator Award.
“That has never happened ever in my life,” she said.
She added with a big laugh, “Going into that meeting, I was like, ‘I have the job. You tell me what you’re going to do, buddy—cause I’m already in this hit movie.’”
Banks and Lawrence met for coffee. “We talked about where the movie is going,” she said. “It was great.” No, she’s not spilling on any specifics.
Elizabeth is also excited to get back on set and work with her Hunger Games co-stars
“I love being with Woody [Harrelson] and Lenny [Kravitz],” she said. “That’s who I get to pal around with.”
And we love hearing that HG‘s three breakout stars, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, haven’t let success go to their heads. “They’re all so real,” Banks said.
And so beautiful, too—especially the Aussie hunk of the bunch. “Liam is ridiculously good-looking,” Banks gushed. “I mean, ridiculous.”

"It's amazing the impact a Hollywood movie can make."
Archery has had PR hits before. "Rambo" helped in the early '80s, but USA Archery didn't need to target bitter Vietnam vets. "The Hunger Games" has produced about $400 million and has nearly every teenager in America eager to shoot arrows and be a hero, or heroine.
USA Archery had a hand in it, too. Khatuna Lorig, seeking her fourth Olympic team, gave star Jennifer Lawrence 15 archery lessons in spring 2011.
"For archery it's great," said Lorig, in second place with 94.5 points behind Miranda Leek's 97.75. "It's a unique sport, an awesome sport, a very old sport. I think it deserves this big break, thanks to 'The Hunger Games.' "

According to E!:
Catching Fire doesn’t start shooting for a while, but the games have begun! I just talked to Josh Hutcherson and guess what he told me about?! He filled me on his first meeting with director Francis Lawrence…
He recently had his first meeting with The Hunger Games franchise’s next director, Francis Lawrence.
“I sat down with him a couple of days ago,” Hutcherson told me at the MTV Movie Awards. “He’s fantastic. He’s such a smart guy. He has some great ideas for the movie.
“I just really like where his head is at,” he continued. “I really like him a lot.”
Most of their chat focused on Peeta.
“We talked about character development in the stories,” Hutcherson said. “As you know, the second book is more complicated than the first, so we talked about the narrative. Everything he said was super smart.”
