You can watch some new Mockingjay Part One interviews below the break. This includes a cute cast interview (Josh, Jen, & Liam) and Elisbath Banks discussing her role as Effie Trinket.
Jumping into something else, The Hunger Games switched directors to Francis Lawrence and I’m curious what was it like working with him on the next film?Source: Collider
TUCCI: He was great, he’s lovely. I think Gary [Ross] did such an amazing and Gary’s such a nice guy. They’re very different directors and personalities. Gary’s very garrulous and Francis is very quiet, but he’s very talented and I had a really nice time with him.
Obviously people have read the book, but what can you tease people about the next one?
TUCCI: [Laughs] I can’t, I really can’t, I’m sworn to secrecy number one, but also you have to remember I’m only there for a week and I shoot all my stuff on a stage and then that’s it, so I’m not even privy to what’s going on.
The Hunger Games is a huge franchise now. Were there any difference for you in terms of when you’re making the first one you’re not really sure if anyone’s going to come out for the movie, then it comes out and it’s this massive hit. Did you feel any pressure going back for the sequel? Or was it sort of like you did it and you can do it again?
TUCCI: Yeah, I think that’s what you feel, you just want to do it as well again, that’s all. You never want to rest on your laurels. You just want to give it 100% every time.

Question: What has this year been like for you?
JENNIFER LAWRENCE: Well, it’s good and bad, just like any job. There’s an amazing side of it that feels incredible, and then there’s the side that’s the bad side and you just have to move on. But, it’s been amazing. A lot of things that I didn’t even think could ever be possible for me have happened, all in a year. It’s been really overwhelming, but in a wonderful way

Source: Contact Music via. hggirlonfire.com‘The Hunger Games’ star Toby Jones has revealed new director Francis Lawrence has put his own twist on the second chapter of the popular franchise.
Toby Jones believes ‘The Hunger Games’ will benefit from a new director.
The actor – who plays commentator Claudius Templesmith in the franchise – says that ‘Catching Fire’ director Francis Lawrence, who replaces Gary Ross, will help evolve the franchise as he has a different vision from the director of the original smash hit film.
He told BANG Showbiz: ”I would say that it’s got a different director with different sensibility. I think he’ll want to bring his own mark to it. It’s clichéd, but you want to respect the books that have been very successful but bring it on a bit.”
The actor added that he’s a ”huge admirer” of series star Jennifer Lawrence - who plays crossbow-wielding heroine Katniss Everdeen – because of her confidence both on and off screen.
He said: ”I was at the Golden Globes last weekend and I watched her get her award for ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, and I worked with her on a film called ‘Serena’ that’s coming out this year. She is remarkable. It’s not that she’s uber-confident, or uber-flashy or arrogant, she’s just an incredibly straightforward person.
”All of this [red carpet events] may seem natural for you [journalists], but it doesn’t feel natural for actors. She handles it all with such an ease. She has some of that on screen. I’m a huge admirer of her.”
Toby admits, however, that compared to his co-star, his role in the series is far less stressful.
He explained: ”Every now and then, they ask me to come in and improvise with Stanley Tucci for an afternoon. They fly me off to America, I improvise for an afternoon – it’s not the hardest, most taxing job. I’m very proud to be part of that because I think the books are tremendous. I know from my daughters they’re compelling books. I’m very happy to represent what they read.”

Lawrence calls her collaboration with Russell "the best experience" of her life, an assessment supported by the way her parents reacted to the movie when they saw it at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Lawrence found them after the movie ended and immediately noticed that her dad, a man she has never seen cry, was "covered in tears." So, according to her father, at least, Lawrence proceded to yell in front of everyone, "Dad, you're crying!" — a "betrayal" he still gives her grief for.Read the full article here.

“We’re kind of on a little break, we’ll go back and finish principal photography in March sometime I think,” she said.

The line’s crackling. Where are you?
I’m filming in Hawaii. But right now I’m eating doughnuts. I’ve just been inundated with doughnuts; it’s a perk of the job.
Moving on to other matters, Silver Linings Playbook has been named one of the Guardian’s best films of the year.
Well, thank you, that’s awesome. I’m a little taken aback. I should have prepared a speech. It’s a project I’m proud of. The cast and the crew gave it their all, working late nights, 15-hour days, trying to get it right. It was made with passion, that’s for sure.
What with your performances in Winter’s Bone, The Hunger Games and Serena, you’re becoming the poster-girl for nickel-and-dime America.
I know, but I’m just looking for interesting stories and strong characters. Maybe that’s where the good material is. Maybe that’s why I end up playing white-trash girls with too much responsibility.
When you took the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, did a part of you worry that the film might be so big it would get in the way of a creatively rewarding career?Yes, of course. I worried that it would be overwhelming and that no one would be able to see me as any other character. But I really cared about the movie. I’m as proud of The Hunger Games as I am any of the other films I’ve done.
