Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen, duh) will be signing another multi million dollar contract with Dior.
“American Hustle” star Jennifer Lawrence is set to sign a multimillion dollar deal with Dior for a three-year partnership, Page Six can exclusively reveal.
The deal between the Hollywood star and the Paris fashion house is worth between $15 and $20 million, and the talks are being brokered through her agents at CAA, we’re told.
Lawrence became a spokeswoman for Dior in 2012, after starring in the first “Hunger Games” film, and Dior creative director Raf Simons said of Lawrence at the time: “I was . . . struck by her incredible on-screen presence in these blockbuster films, but also . . . by her powerful interpretations of subtler, more rounded characters.”
Soon after, the actress was appearing in a campaign for Miss Dior, and creating memorable awards-show moments in Dior designs. At last year’s SAG Awards, the “Silver Linings Playbook” star wore a tiered blue gown, and when she rose to pick up her best actress honor, a panel of fabric was accidentally exposed. Many viewers believed the dress “fell apart,” but its designer explained it was the gown’s “tulle and satin” layers that were revealed, and, “It was not ripped and there was no malfunction.”
The actress got even more attention in Dior when she later fell up the stairs at the Oscars in a gorgeous fit-for-Hollywood white Dior frock.
On the awards circuit this season, a full-length white gown with black bands worn to the Golden Globes for “American Hustle” sparked endless online memes.
Reps for Dior, CAA and Lawrence had no comment. But a Hollywood source said, “There’s no signed deal, but Jennifer’s had a great relationship with Dior to date, and is open to the idea of continuing a partnership. But there’s no deal in place.” Another source tells us that Dior wants to dress Lawrence exclusively for the red carpet and shut out other design houses that are vying to work with the Best Supporting Actress Oscar nominee.
Previous spokeswomen for the brand have included Marion Cotillard, Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron and Mila Kunis.

Lionsgate has released the official poster and logo for The Hunger Games: Mockinjay Part 1! What do you think? I'm interested in what they will do as the poster art for Part 2, since they already used the mockingjay image from the cover of Mockingjay.

Our very own Jennifer Lawrence is the youngest person to win three Oscars.

No one was surprised when Jennifer Lawrence’s name was called out this morning for an Oscar nomination, but you might be surprised to learn how significant her American Hustle nomination is. Lawrence, at only 23-years-old is now considered to be the top celebrated Oscar nominee of her age bracket. Not only is Lawrence nominated two years in a row for her second David O. Russell film, but she’s also the youngest person to be nominated three times for an Oscar in her career.
Last year Jennifer Lawrence was nominated for her turn in David O. Russell’s film Silver Linings Playbook, and now she’s nominated for her second outing with Russell for American Hustle. Her first nomination came in 2010 for Winter’s Bone. This year Lawrence will join the ceremony as both a presenter and a nominee, the latter is for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, which puts her up against some pretty great competition, including Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), June Squibb (Nebraska), Julia Roberts (August: Osage County), and Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine).
According to The Wrapbefore Lawrence held the record for youngest celebrated Oscar nominee, Teresa Wright held it as she earned three Oscar nominations at the age of 24. Her only win came for Mrs. Miniver in 1942. As it is Lawrence is already holding down a pretty powerful record as she is the second youngest Best Actress winner in the history of the awards ceremony. The youngest being Marlee Marlin, who won at 21-years-old in Children of a Lesser God.
Although early on in the race Lupita Nyong’o was expected to win for Best Supporting, the race seemed to stop when the Golden Globes awarded Jennifer Lawrence. Combine that with Lawrence’s on going press for The Hunger Games franchise, she may just win on her congeniality skills alone. Her power in her personality only rose higher when nominations were read today, seeing as Lawrence was for the most part, on the bubble of even being nominated throughout the Oscar season. Now it just looks like she’s going to take it all.
Clearly grateful for her Oscar nomination, Jennifer Lawrence said in a statement this morning:
“Thank you so much to the Academy for this nomination and for all of the nominations for the film. It’s very exciting! Congratulations to my fellow nominees, it’s an honor to be nominated in the company of these four actresses who I admire and are so incredibly talented.”
Even though Jennifer Lawrence was fantastic in American Hustle, she may just owe her Oscar to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, as the actress admitted a few weeks ago that she watched the reality show to get down the accent and mannerisms to play her comical Long Island housewife character.

Yahoo! named our very own Jennifer Lawrence the 'Biggest Moneymaking Star of 2013.'

2013 was a great year for Jennifer Lawrence, not only winning an Oscar early on but it also saw the release of the second installment of The Hunger Games as well as reuniting with her X-Men family and David O’Russell on American Hustle and now she has been named the year’s biggest money-making star of the year.
In an annual survey that is voted for by cinema owners and film buyers, they were asked to pick their top 10 box office generators.

Jennifer Lawrence was last year's biggest money making stars at the cinema, according to movie theater owners (Wenn)

It was Jennifer Lawrence who proved the hot favourite, followed by Gravity star Sandra Bullock, who also appeared in The Heat.
Joining Jennifer Lawrence in the top five was her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper as wells as veteran actors Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington.
Also in the Quigley Publishing poll wereLeonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman and Melissa McCarthy.
Jennifer’s success looks set to continue with her highly-praised performance in American Hustle having been tipped to score her several award nominations as well as the next instalment, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One due out later this year.
