It has been confirmed that Effie Trinket's dress from the Catching Fire trailer is Alexander McQueen.
Source: Entertainment WeeklyThe frothy creation is from Alexander McQueen. Earlier today, the label confirmed via Twitter that Effie’s dress and matching shoes are from the label’s Fall 2012 ready-to-wear runway collection.
“The future’s usually shown as stark and cold. I wanted lightness, the sense that the dresses were hovering,” McQueen creative director Sarah Burton told Style.com when the collection debuted last March. Burton used voluminous shapes and patterns that would organically “explode” as the runway show progressed as a means of celebrating “a beautiful future, positivity, optimism.”

The Nightlock Podcast has released the 44th episode of their show.
Episode 44Brand new segment testing our nature knowledge and how we would survive in the games is debuted. News story include a hint at a new trailer and coverage of the KCAs. Chapter 18 of Catching Fire is discussed, as always questions come up. Does Katniss' family really believe she is pregnant? Would people judge Katniss and Peeta for getting pregnant if they hadn't gotten "married" before? Have Peeta and Katniss mastered the art of deception? Can Peeta survive only using his wits? Do the Capitol citizens even think to question the Games or is it too ingrained to obey the Capitol? To end the show we connect the rebellion to a song, read some listener emails, and recommend a classic dystopian book.
