It has been confirmed that Effie Trinket's dress from the Catching Fire trailer is Alexander McQueen.

The frothy creation is from Alexander McQueen. Earlier today, the label confirmed via Twitter that Effie’s dress and matching shoes are from the label’s Fall 2012 ready-to-wear runway collection.
“The future’s usually shown as stark and cold. I wanted lightness, the sense that the dresses were hovering,” McQueen creative director Sarah Burton told Style.com when the collection debuted last March. Burton used voluminous shapes and patterns that would organically “explode” as the runway show progressed as a means of celebrating “a beautiful future, positivity, optimism.”

LIONSGATE AND INTERNET EXPLORER ANNOUNCE
MULTIFACETED PARTNERSHIP FOR THE RELEASE OF
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE
Today the Companies Released The Hunger Games Explorer, the Groundbreaking Digital Home for The Hunger Games Fans

Los Angeles (April 15, 2013) – Kicking off a  multifaceted  partnership between two global leaders in the areas of entertainment and technology, Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF) and Internet Explorer announced the debut of The Hunger Games Explorer (www.thehungergamesexplorer.com), the groundbreaking, definitive online destination for fans to find all of The Hunger Games content they’re looking for. Ahead of the highly anticipated Nov. 22 release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and tied to the global premiere of the film’s teaser trailer online and at the MTV Movie Awards, The Hunger Games Explorer is the go-to site for a rich, interactive experience that lets users explore the world of The Hunger Games.

This dedicated digital home for The Hunger Games fans will let them track every development in the franchise, including fan blogs, talent tweets, exclusive images and videos. The site will serve as a social aggregator, allowing both official and fan-generated content to be pulled from multiple social media platforms. Users will be able to search, filter and share content directly from the site, providing an incredible experience for utility and discovery.  Built with Internet Explorer 10, The Hunger Games Explorer takes full advantage of multi-touch technology, letting visitors swipe and scroll through content with the flick of a finger. Another feature called “sparking” lets fans “like” objects while driving discussion around each bit of news or fan-created content.

“We have the best fans in the world, and starting tonight they have a home on the web where they can be a part of The Hunger Games experience and contribute to the excitement for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” said Danielle De Palma, senior vice president digital marketing, Lionsgate. “The Hunger Games Explorer is not only a place for fans to spark the conversation around The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but also a destination where we can continue to provide fans with new content, experiences and unprecedented behind-the-scenes access.”

”With The Hunger Games Explorer, we wanted to change the game for how a movie can be extended to the web, providing an intensely immersive experience for fans,” said Roger Capriotti, director, Internet Explorer marketing. “The Hunger Games Explorer continues IE’s work to bring innovative experiences to the web, showcasing what’s possible with amazing content and a modern browser like IE that is fast, fluid and perfect for touch.”

Lionsgate has released a new Catching Fire still. The picture appears to be Katniss Everdeen in a snowy scene. Perhaps it is the day of the Victory Tour or the meeting with Gale in the woods.

The Nightlock Podcast has released the 44th episode of their show.
Episode 44
Brand new segment testing our nature knowledge and how we would survive in the games is debuted. News story include a hint at a new trailer and coverage of the KCAs. Chapter 18 of Catching Fire is discussed, as always questions come up. Does Katniss' family really believe she is pregnant? Would people judge Katniss and Peeta for getting pregnant if they hadn't gotten "married" before? Have Peeta and Katniss mastered the art of deception? Can Peeta survive only using his wits? Do the Capitol citizens even think to question the Games or is it too ingrained to obey the Capitol? To end the show we connect the rebellion to a song, read some listener emails, and recommend a classic dystopian book.
